As well as my club  Chorley PS wining overall, I was very pleased to have the winning image in this inter-club competition

“The competition is a creative photography competition, and we were treated to some excellent narrative and critique by Rikki O’Neil FRPS MPAGB from Dundee. As well as being one of the top creative workers Rikki also judges internationally.

Six invited clubs participated, each submitting 12 prints, apart from South Liverpool who for some reason only managed 10!   A wide variety of creative work was shown, plus one or two not so creative prints which were appropriately marked down, and the overall standard was pretty high. At the end of a thoroughly enjoyable evening Chorley were (not surprisingly) clear winners with 213 points, followed by Southport with 206, NCPS 205, South Manchester 203, St Helens 202 and South Liverpool 156 (from 10 prints). In all a very fair result.

Rikki awarded marks of 19 to several images, then from these selected one as the overall winner with 20. The winning image was  “Summer Rain” by Jane Lines of Chorley”
