At the beginning of our Northern India tour we stayed at the lovely Birders Inn    www.birdersinn.com  and visited the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary   http://tourism.rajasthan.gov.in/bharatpur/10014/keoladeo-ghana-national-park

They take you round the park in rickshaws and pack you a lovely picnic breakfast to enjoy on the way round.   there was a great range of birds in this natural habitat and the rickshaw cyclists were very knowledgeable on species so there was no need for a separate guide
